• --written letters and emails informing staff of the feedback. While these are effective, there is something impersonal about them,

• a face-to-face talk between the employee and supervisor would be a much better way, as it allows open and direct communication to take place.

• --the timing of feedback. Some firms give staff feedback too infrequently to be of any use. Ideally, feedback should be given at regular intervals, say, every other week or every month. If staff receive timely feedback on their performance, any mistakes can be quickly corrected and good practices can be introduced regularly.
