The Helan Mountain locates at the junction of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the northwest part of China. With an elevation of 3,556-meter, the main peak is also named Helan. Sitting on a strong seismic zone, it is the watershed of the outflow and inner flow regions, the borderline of monsoon and non-monsoon climate and the borderline of grassland and desert of China.
