"我1996年毕业于四川大学。" 然后，讲一下你的专业： "My major is Computer Science." "我的专业是计算机科学。" 你看，"学什么专业"可以用major来表达。因为major本身就是"(大学获学位的)主修课程"，它的反义词是minor ，辅修课程。除了名词形式外，这两个词还能以动词的面目出现，表示同样的意思。如果你要向主考官说明你主修英文，辅修日文，就可以说： I majored in English, and minored in Japanese. 注意，不论是major还是minor作动词时，都要跟介词in, 然后才是所学的课程。 知道了你所学的专业，主考官还想进一步了解你对专业精通的程度，他会继续问： "How has your education prepared you for your career?" "你所学的东西能够满足以后的工作需要吗?" 由于就业压力越来越大，每个领域的竞争都很激烈，你对专业是否"精通"，将在很大程度上决定你是否能够应聘成功。所以你要在这个问题上显示出自己的实力来： "As you will note on my resume, I’ve taken not only the required core classes in this field, I’ve also gone above and beyond." "就象我在简历上所讲的那样，我不仅学习过该领域的核心课程，而且还大大地超过了这一范围。" 好了，你的"基本功"问题不大了，那么，你运用基本知识独立进行实际操作的能力又怎么样呢?你接着说： "I’ve taken every class the college has to offer in the field and also completed an independent study project specifically in this area." "大学期间，我完成了该专业的所有课程，并且，还独立地完成了一个研究项目。" 看来，你自己动手解决具体问题的能力也很强。但是当今企业越来越需要复合型人才，如果您能在精通专业的基础上，再会一两门外语，就更加锦上添花了。 如果主考官问; "What else did you study?" "你还学过别的吗?" 你就可以自信地说： "I took some English classes." "我还学过一些英语课程。" 现在主考官感到你不是一个一般人物了。他可能会接着问： "How would you compare your verbal skills to your writing skills?" "你在口头和书写上，哪一方面更好呢?" 你可以详细地告诉他： "It seems as if organizations are more dependent than ever on the ability of employees to be articulate both orally and in writing.
