You should say: When you moved Where you moved from and to Why you moved And explain how you felt about this move. I have to say that this topic reminds me of my childhood memory. That was in 2005. My family moved from Handan, Hebei province to Nanjing, for my dad believed Nanjing is a better city for us to live and especially beneficial for me to grow. Quite right though he was, I still felt very much homesick at the beginning. In fact, when I first got to Nanjing, I knew no one in the new school and was quite unhappy with everything I saw. “Look at them. Their stupidity is so very unbearable and unforgivable. Why would anyone like this place?” I still remember my arrogant thought when I was standing outside the classroom, which I was about to step in. On the contrary, my father was quite satisfied with the place though. Therefore, no right did I have to refuse. Not understanding their dialectal conversation, I was so very lonely on the first couple of days. However, the hospitality which people in Nanjing are famous for saved me from my indifference. I gradually loosened my defence and made quite a lot of friends. To be honest, several boys even fancied me after one year’s studying together. My first two years in Nanjing, with the company of my primary school classmates, is one of the most precious memories of mine. Now I have to say that to move to Nanjing is one of the best things that have ever happened to me. I wish I could go back when I was ready. |
